Lions Services Eye Clinic
Preventing Blindness and Saving Sight
Since Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917, Lions have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide, including right here in Davidson, NC and the Charlotte metro area. Sight is one of Lions defining causes. Through professional training, healthcare system development and wide spread drug treatment distribution, Lions have gained worldwide recognition for their work to improve sight and prevent blindness. That continues with the work we do here in Davidson, as well as Mecklenburg County.
Lions Services Eye Clinic is supported by volunteer Ophthalmologists and Optometrists, the Lions Clubs of Mecklenburg County, charitable foundations and community members.
Local eye care professionals donate their valuable time and skills to assist the Eye Clinic Opticians, providing thorough examinations and prescriptions for glasses.
